My story
Hi! I am Murphy! I came from Oklahoma and I am so happy to be in Colorado to find my forever family! I had a family before where me and my (4) other siblings lived happily until our parents got a divorce and abandonned us. Now i would really like a family to call my very own and be a part of the family forever. I am sweet and gentle and I get along great with other dogs, people and dog friendly kitties! I dont mind my crate and I potty outside. I also like walks! I am getting used to traveling in a car but I will learn the ropes with practice :)  What Is The Adoption Process?IMPORTANT: Adoption Applications submitted on FRIDAYS, will NOT be reviewed until the following MONDAY.Why? We have adoption events Saturdays and are CLOSED Sundays. STEP 1. Adoption ApplicationRead and Answer ALL questions thoroughly. If you are interested in meeting more than one animal, you must attend an adoption event. List any and all animals you are interested in meeting on one Application, or via email. You do not need to submit multiple applications!STEP 2. Application Review ProcessIt typically takes our team 24-48 hours to review your Application. If approved, you will receive an APPROVED APPLICATION email with the next steps on how to place an animal on hold.CHECK your Junk Mail, and/or add our email to your contact list - info@found-nation.orgSTEP 3. "Holds" or Meet & GreetsA non-refundable $50.00 deposit will "hold" an Adoptable Animal for an adoption meeting. This means you get to meet and have the opportunity to adopt that animal before anyone else who could be interested. Unless arranged differently - All Meet & Greets with Adoptable Animals are done at our adoption events.Private Meetings. This is an option for most adult animals. We cannot arrange private meetings for animals under 6 months, as littermates are kept together until they are adopted for health and safety reasons. STEP 4. Adoption!Adoption Agreement, paperwork, and Adoption Fee MUST be completed BEFORE you can take your adopted animal home.If you decide the animal is not the right fit, we will keep your Application on file for ONE YEAR. During that year you are "an "approved adopter" and may meet any of our animals available for adoption. If you cannot take the animal home the day of your Meet & Greet, we must know in advance. STEP 5. AFTER AdoptionPlease contact Found Nation for training and behavioral questions! If for any reason you have issues with and/or need to return your animal, send us an email immediately. We DO NOT have a physical location for you to drop off the animal. We have to find a foster home before the animal can be returned to us. This may take several days to arrange.  STEP 6.
